讲座嘉宾简介:

Klause Friedrich德国凯泽斯劳滕大学教授,主要研究兴趣包括聚合物基复合材料的一般力学、断裂力学及摩擦磨损行为,近年来研究工作主要集中在高性能热塑性聚合物基复合材料研究方面。曾担任德国复合材料学会主席、《Science》编委和《Composite Science and Technology》、《Applied Composite Materials》副主编以及多家国际学术期刊的编委,发表论文820多篇,是世界上顶尖的复合材料和摩擦学专家。

讲座主要内容简介:

In the last two decades, polymer composites have proved to be an important group of materials when lightweight construction, property tailoring and specific performance are critical issues in engineering applications.The Institute for Composite Materials in Kaisers-lautern, Germany (IVW GmbH) has contributed remarkably to this development, due to its various research activities in the fields of design, materials science and manufacturing of composite components.

In this presentation, the IVW will be shortly introduced at first, and then some more specific details on IVW’s activities in the field of manufacturing of advanced composites for various applications will be elucidated. The latter include

a)Thermoplastic Composites for Secondary and Structural Automotive Applications, with emphasis to (i) Special Routes for the Production of Semi - Finished (Intermediate) Material Forms, (ii) GMT and LFT for Front Ends etc., (iii) Forming of Profiles for Automotive Crash Elements, (v) Stamp Forming of an Automotive Seat Structure, (vi) Induction Welding of Bumper Beams, (vii) Recycling Aspects of TP Composite Fenders, and (viii) Automotive Parts Using Natural Fiber Reinforcements.

b)Thermosetting Composites for Car Body Applications, with emphasis to (i) Major Manufacturing Methods, such as i1) Prepreg and Autoclave Technology, and i2) Resin Transfer Molding, (ii) an EU- Project TECABS regarding the Production of an All-composite Chassis, (iii) Use in Racing and Exclusive Sports Cars.

c)Some Developments regarding the Production of Polymer Composites for Special Aircraft Components.
